ECi hosts successful Customer Briefings
(26/04/2010)
ECi saw over 100 of its customers at its recent Customer Briefings in Hinckley, Dublin and Amsterdam.
Members of the Leadership team based in Texas, USA, were in attendance and their message was well received among users.
Mike Gibson, SVP Global Marketing and Sales, opened the sessions and emphasised the group’s commitment to offering global support and development at a local level. He commented: “There are really exciting things happening at ECi right now. We have a new Leadership team in both the US and Europe in place, we are moving forward at a positive and faster pace on our product strategy and customer relationship management has really expanded. During the first quarter of this year, we released more than 60 enhancements to all of our software. These include two major releases for our EasyOrder and Vision products.”
The group’s Director of International Product Development, Steve Straley, shared his longer-term product strategy including the continued development of Progress, Vision, Bridge and EasyOrder Corporate. His team of developers will work smarter and will share code, where appropriate, to bring product enhancements to market more quickly. "This collaborative effort across our development team will bring world-wide resources to solve local issues and challenges," says Straley. “It will help us capture and capitalize on local business opportunities with our customers and prospects. Our enhanced structure and processes allow us to not only provide a stronger roadmap for each of our products, but also provide enhancements faster and of a much higher quality.”
In the afternoon, ECi customers were given the opportunity to give their feedback on planned enhancements in an open-forum session. This feedback will be used in the development of future product releases.
Paola White, VP Sales for ECi, commented:”We extended our regional events following the series of successful ‘Think-Tanks’ we held during 2009 for Progress and Vision customers. We felt it important to introduce some of our senior directors of the Leadership team from the US. We were excited to share our product roadmaps. Customers have a strong future with ECi. We will be inviting them to join our Customer Advisory council during April, where they will meet collectively and give feedback on future enhancements that will take their businesses forward. We also emphasised the importance of partnering with experts in other areas. Matt Irish from Planet Press joined us in Hinckley to demonstrate Objectif Lunes suite of products that will further enhance document management in Progress and Vision. We will be holding regular webinars for customers who missed the demonstration to attend.”
Customer feedback on the briefings was entirely positive. “ECi really have the customers’ needs at the core of their business strategy and it is great to hear that development will continue on Progress,” commented an attendee. A Vision user added: “A very useful day! I was very interested to hear what is planned for Vision, not only for the next 12 months but for the longer term too–the Customer Advisory Councils sound like a fantastic way for us to help shape the future of Vision.”
In Holland, ECi introduced the new frameless version of EasyOrder to corporate clients. The meeting was attended by many large users, including Staples and UFP.
